Prof. Daniel Meron - BM DM FRCPsych EMBA
Dan is a coach, mentor, and facilitator working with Oliver & Company (UK). He trained as a medical doctor, specialising in Psychiatry and working across modalities including psychotherapy. Dan offers a lens focussing on the zone of interaction between past experiences, present strengths and challenges, and the potential futures available to individuals, teams, and organisations.
Dan’s practice is deeply informed by Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment approach, he has practised mindfulness meditation and Zen for many years and is trained in systemic coaching and constellation approaches. Dan is also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Restructuring (EMDR).
Dan’s clinical career in the NHS and private sector, where he worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist with an interest in trauma, anxiety, mood, addictions, and psychotherapy. Dan is a neuroscience researcher and visiting professor in the University of Southampton, his doctoral research thesis addressed the intersection of neuro-stimulation modalities (transcranial direct current stimulation) and mindfulness in anxiety. Dan’s NHS leadership journey included roles spanning a range of roles including board-level Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer roles in NHS organisations across the acute hospital, community, mental health, and primary care sectors.
When not working, Dan enjoys yoga, tai chi and meditation, as well as snowboarding and kitesurfing. Dan is married to Kate, they have two grown-up daughters, a dog, a cat, and a campervan.
